Our Choir
Sacred Music is foremost among the arts employed by the Church to heighten and embellish her Liturgy, fostering a more intense and fruitful spirituality among her faithful at prayer. The Oratory Choir and the Chant Schola perform the masterpieces Catholic sacred music from the last six centuries to the highest standard: Palestrina, Tallis, Byrd, Gabrieli, Scarlatti, Mozart, Bruckner, Poulenc, Liszt, Stravinsky, MacMillan, to name but a few. The Choir is made up of skilled musicians, many of whom are students of music at our universities or conservatoires. Our Chant Schola is a concentrated ensemble of men dedicated to the art of performing Gregorian Chant. Choral Clerkships are available for those who wish to sing in the choir on a semi-professional basis. Auditions are required for membership. If you should like to sing in our Choir, please contact the Director of Music at the email below.
